Trying to ferret out a particular program or file from your favorite in a daunting task to say the least so Here I am trying to put out there a review of as many of the simulator programs as I can which should aid you somewhat in you search for files.

What I am all about is to try and give some information on a specific format that is a little more user friendly that searching through the vast lists with your favorite download site.

What I am all about is to try and give some information on a specific format that is a little more user friendly that searching through the vast lists with your favorite download site.

One of the first programs is the AUTO LAND GAUGE by NICK PIKE, who BTW, has developed many outstanding add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator. With this current version it has been amended, adapted and improved by Martyn Becker.
A note about this add-on is that it can be used with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (FS9)

Rating 5 out of 10. Recommended.
The file name is autoland_v21.zip

One of my favorite PAYWARE AIRPLANE is the MAAM DC-3 of which I fly frequently. One of the paints that I like is the Buffalo Airways Paint and modification to the configuration file which is the turning is more rudder orientated than true tail dragger. The majority of the time I am true to the DC-3 and I use throttle and Differential braking for turning.

The painter of this model is Marcus Hellwig but I can’t give him a proper review on his work because I am not sure the extent of his work though I can say he did a fine job on this model. I personally use the ABACUS fs painter program myself finding it does a grand job in painting.

Rating 6 out of 10. Recommended.
The file name is maam_buffalo2.zip

Every serious simmer knows or has experienced the contribution of this next developer whose genius has brought to the simmin world and scenery development more than any single person and I know there are thousands who stands beside me in giving kudos and heartfelt thanks to Lee Swordy in bring each and every one of us the ability to make more accurate airports true to life with the AFCAD program.

Lee, I don’t know how we will ever be able to thank you enough!

I believe this is the last revision that I know of even though Lee has a built in countdown timer letting you know that there may be a newer version available.

Rating 9 out of 10. Recommended. Rated this way because of drop off the edge of the earth support or closure.
The file name is afcad221.zip

This file BMW_760LI.zip by Hama can only be rated 6.5 out of 10 because there are now sounds to accompany this fine model so there is some lost of lack luster because of it. Other wise this is a great model, good performer and fun to boot! Recommended.

This BMW 760Li is a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (FS9) add-on ground vehicle (or Aircraft) by Mitsuya Hamaguchi (nickname Hama). This is an excellent model as well it should be for the many models created by Hama before this. The following short video shows, first off, the splendid model and the features of this model.

The key commands listed below are used to execute the animations show in the video:
Window opening	[Shift]+[E]
Door opening [Shift]+[E] [2]
Sun Roof Up [Shift]+[K] (TailHook) be sure this is assigned in keyboard assignments.
Sun Roof Opens	[Shift]+[Y] (Wing_fold) be sure this is assigned in keyboard assignments.
Wiper when it Rains or Snows. The wipers will engage automatically.

One of the draw backs I experienced was the fact that the sounds were aliased from the c812 flight simulator aircraft. A resourceful simmer probably should not be too taken back by this for there are a number of sources to get great sounds from.

As in much of the development of simulator models many files are modified from existing files from other aircraft as with this model the air file is a modified cessna172sp.air file. This file is dated 6-8-2004 and the aircraft.cfg file created 5-11-2006 with the paint being done 5-8-2006. With these dates we can tell when in the life cycle of Flight Simulator 2004 these were created and were they ported and modified from the first great of many flight simulators, Flight Simulator 2002.

The file name which this model can be downloaded from download sites such as Avsim is BMW_760LI.zip

Just a note, I first downloaded this file on 4-4-2007.

Rating 6.5 out of 10. Recommended.
